As a Pharmacy Assistant (Bank), your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Complete general dispensary duties and stock management
- Be working as an active member of the Pharmaceutical team to ensure delivery of the pharmaceutical service
- Provide a timely and efficient service to the prison wings
- Receive prescriptions and stick returns from wing based clinical areas
- Collect orders from suppliers from the Main Gate and arrange collection of return
- Participate in dispensing of prescriptions.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Assistant (Bank) to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Lewes a category B/C Prison located in Sussex.
HMP Lewes is a male prison that has a capacity for 742 inmates and are recruiting for a Pharmacy Assistant to support with duties such as Labelling, stock taking, checking, collections etc. Hours
This role is bank (as and when required) The maximum hours you can work per week are 22.5 hours. Potential shift pattern would be; Monday -Thursday 7:30 - 17:30 (30 minutes break)
Friday 7:30- 17:00 (30 minutes break)
BH and weekend 8:00 - 17:00 (30 minutes break)
Salary Monday - Friday - £15.80 per hour Bank Holidays & Weekends - £18.33 per hour How will we support you?

Qualifications required - NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Service Skills/equivalent or working towards
- Medicines handing experience desirable not essential
- Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent
- A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
- Excellent communication skills
- Good IT skills and IT literacy
- Ability to work within a busy environment
- Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures
