We are looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate and highly motivated PA to provide an efficient, comprehensive and confidential secretarial and administrative service to members of the Senior Leadership Team at Wathwood Hospital within the Adult Mental Health Directorate.

You will be required to complete mandatory training to assist your professional development.
Responsible for all aspects of personal assistant support, working to optimum levels in terms of efficiency and organisation.Produce high quality reports within agreed deadlines as required.Undertake office duties including complex diary and e-mail management.Production and collation of complex and sensitive documents.Compose and type letters and other documentation as required.Facilitate meetings/investigations/disciplinaries including venue booking, refreshments, producing and circulating agendas, recording attendance and accurate minute taking.To work effectively both independently and as a team member.To undertake any other duties that would be a reasonable expectation of the role.
Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment.
You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies

Qualifications
Essential
- Typing/word processing qualification to RSA/OCR III standard or equivalent skill level.
- Knowledge of a full range of Business & Administration procedures acquired through NVQ Level 4 or significant practical experience of working to senior management, which will include complex diary management and decision making.
- Disciplinary/hearing experience.
Desirable: - ECDL
Training and Experience
Essential
- Minute taking
- High Level Microsoft Office software i.e Database, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Scheduling/ Diary Management
- Experience of working in a customer-facing role.
- Previous experience of working in an office environment
- Ability to work as an effective team member.
- Experience of effective communication with external agencies.
Desirable: - Experience of working in the NHS
Knowledge
Essential: - Computer literacy including word, excel, outlook, database; - Maintain electronic records/information on computer
Skills
Essential
- Excellent interpersonal/communication skills, including excellent written and oral skills.
- Excellent telephone manner.
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
Contractual requirements
Essential: - Ability to travel between venues on an occasional basis.
