This regional role covers multiple homes in Lawton Rise, Lawton Manor, and Hilderstone Hall for mixed days and nights. As a Peripatetic Care Assistant at Barchester care homes, you're expected to deliver warm, empathetic care and support across a 20-mile radius to enhance the lives of the residents. Duties include monitoring care delivery, contributing to personal care planning, and recording vital signs such as temperature and blood pressure, alongside other tasks. The role is varied, involving support and companionship, ensuring every resident enjoys meaningful one-to-one time with carers during every shift. A background in care is crucial, along with a good understanding of elderly care and ideally, a Level 2 NVQ in Health & Social Care. A C or above in GCSE English and Maths is preferable. You'll need either your car or ready access to one, as travel across areas is required. Mileage is covered for travel over five miles from the main home, and a bonus is offered for a 'Good' rating during inspections.
