Paediatric Epilepsy/Neurology Nurse

The successful candidate will work across children's services providing clinical, specialist and holistic support/advice to children and young people.

We are looking for you to apply if you are a motivated clinical children's nurse, with knowledge and experience in paediatric epilepsy, preferably including experience working with young people approaching transition to adult services. You will be working independently running nurse led clinics and also supporting consultant clinics. You will have excellent interpersonal, IT and communication skills with the ability to organise, manage and plan your own workload effectively. You will be dedicated and passionate in your role whilst demonstrating excellent leadership and team working. You will be energetic and dedicated in working as an advocate in support of our children, young people and their families.

The successful applicant will run joint and nurse led clinics in conjunction with Consultant colleagues to offer the highest level of care to the patients. You will manage a caseload of children and young people with epilepsy. You will be the point of contact for the epilepsy service, supporting families who have children with epilepsy.

The role will provide specialist support and advice. You will be expected to provide advice and support in relation to management of epilepsy for children and young people, and will be expected to provide clinical and educational support to staff within the Trust. This will involve reviewing patients on the children's acute ward as well as in the outpatients setting.
