An exciting opportunity has arisen for an organised and proactive individual to join our Theatre Services team as an Orthopaedic Loan Kit Coordinator ...
Implement an effective loan kit service by ensuring requirements are acquired from surgical team and are planned in association with theatre scheduling.
Resolve day to day loan kit queries raised by theatres.
Ensure loan kit required for operating lists is ordered in good time and recorded appropriately as per process.
Prepare all loan sets for HSDU by checking all instrumentation ispresent and correct as per supplies checksheets and bar code and listall trays.
Liaisewith suppliers toobtain accuratecostsfor hire/deliveryand agree the delivery and collection datesof kits.
Receipting of Purchase Orders once loan accurate costs have been obtained from the supplier.
Check Orthopaedic goods received against supplier's delivery note e.g., Stores, WHS etc. for accuracy of delivery and suitable shelf life. Using Omnicell system where appropriate.
Oversee all equipment contracts as well as maintenance and service contracts for all specialized medical equipment.

Essential
- Knowledge of an automated inventory and storage system.
- Good standard of Education at GCSE level or equivalent.
- Demonstrate experience in stock management.
- Teamwork - The ability to deal with all level of staff members and outside agencies.
Desirable
- Knowledge of Omnicell systems including systems configuration and operational setup, with the ability to provide training to staff.
- Knowledge of the Oracle ordering system.
- Experience of the Omnicell system.
English
Essential: - Excellent Organisation/Time Management and Communication Skills.
