An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Optometrist to join Specsavers Chelmsford & Springfield as an Optometrist Partner. This is a chance to take ownership of a thriving dual-store business with a strong leadership team, established clinical offering, and significant growth potential.

Located in a rapidly expanding area, with over 11,000 new homes planned and an expected population increase of 25,000 people, these stores are perfectly positioned for continued growth. The business operates across two successful locations:
- Chelmsford - a prominent High Street location with excellent footfall in the heart of the city centre.
- Springfield - a busy Sainsbury's-based store benefiting from excellent visibility and strong customer traffic.
Both stores serve an affluent demographic and offer a strong NHS and private mix, creating excellent opportunities for clinical and commercial growth.
You'll join a highly experienced and engaged team, including:
- 11 Optometrists
- 2 Pre-Registration Optometrists
- 5 Dispensing Opticians
- Experienced store leadership teams across both locations
- Dedicated lab and customer support teams
- Established Hearcare service supported by a specialist audiology team
- 11 test rooms across both stores
- 55 clinics per week
- OCT in both locations with strong customer uptake
- FARS
- Visual Fields in both stores
- MECS, Cataract and Glaucoma pathways already established
- DVLA services launching from December 2026
- Dedicated Hearcare facilities operating across the network
Recent investment has ensured both stores are equipped for future success:
- Chelmsford Boost completed in 2023
- Springfield Boost completed in 2025
- Modern clinical equipment including OCT technology
- Off-site glazing laboratory supporting multiple locations
