Job description

Optom Partner Opportunity - Washington, Tyne & Wear

Become a Specsavers Joint Venture Partner and take ownership of your future.

Specsavers is seeking an ambitious and commercially minded Optom Partner to join our established and thriving business in Washington and purchase 33% Optom shares plus 17% hear care shares.

This is an exciting opportunity for an optometrist who wants more than a clinical role and is ready to take the next step into business ownership, supported by one of the UK's leading eye care providers.

Located in a busy retail centre alongside major retailers, the business benefits from:

  • A modern store environment following a recent relocation and investment
  • Excellent accessibility with free customer parking
  • Strong footfall and a diverse patient demographic
  • Eight test rooms, including dedicated hearing care facilities
  • OCT technology in place
  • On-site glazing facilities

The business is supported by a highly experienced leadership team and a strong store culture focused on development, engagement and patient care.

We're looking for an optometrist who combines clinical excellence with strong leadership and commercial awareness.

Whether you're an experienced director looking for your next challenge or an ambitious clinician considering partnership for the first time, this opportunity offers the chance to help shape the future of an established business while sharing directly in its success.

As a Joint Venture Partner, you'll benefit from:

  • Business ownership with the support of a trusted, market-leading brand
  • Profit share and long-term wealth creation opportunities
  • A competitive partner salary
  • Access to industry-leading technology and innovation
  • Dedicated support across finance, recruitment, training, marketing and operations
  • The autonomy to influence key business decisions
  • The opportunity to develop and lead a talented multidisciplinary team

At Specsavers, partnership means enjoying the rewards of owning your own business while benefiting from the expertise, infrastructure and support of an established organisation.

  • A qualified GOC-registered Optometrist (or eligible to register)
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional patient care
  • A strong communicator and people leader
  • Commercially aware and motivated by business performance
  • Excited by the prospect of business ownership and leadership

If you've ever considered becoming a business owner and want to learn more about what partnership with Specsavers could offer, we'd love to hear from you.
