As our Ophthalmic Nurse Injector, you will be:
- Performing intravitreal injections (IVI) for AMD and other macular conditions in line with clinical protocols.
- Assessing, planning and delivering highquality patient care within a specialist ophthalmology setting.
- Working autonomously while remaining accountable for your clinical practice and decisionmaking.
- Acting as a clinical expert and role model, supporting and advising colleagues within the multidisciplinary team.
- Ensuring patient safety, dignity and wellbeing at all times through a personcentred approach.
- Supporting service development, audit and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contributing to training and education within the team and supporting the development of others.
- Maintaining accurate clinical records and ensuring compliance with governance and regulatory standards.

Were looking for a skilled and motivated Ophthalmic Nurse Injector to join our growing ophthalmology service.
This is a specialist role where youll work as a clinical expert within a multidisciplinary team, delivering highquality, patientcentred care to individuals undergoing treatment for agerelated macular degeneration and other retinal conditions. Youll have the opportunity to work both autonomously and collaboratively, supporting the continued development of nurseled ophthalmology services.
Shift pattern
A range of shifts based at our Bamber Bridge clinic.
As a Registered Nurse, Orthoptist or Optometrist with relevant ophthalmic experience, you will also have:
- Experience in ophthalmology, with a strong interest in macular services and injection therapy
- Competency in intravitreal injections, or willingness to undertake training
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patientcentred approach
- Strong understanding of clinical governance and commitment to high standards of care
- A proactive, flexible attitude and willingness to travel between sites as required
