Lead the recruitment, onboarding and ongoing development of Hub, Driver and Reception teams to ensure a highly skilled workforce.

Line manage operational staff, overseeing performance, attendance, wellbeing, appraisals, one-to-ones and workforce planning.

Ensure the smooth day-to-day delivery of Out of Hours services across Hub, Primary Care Centres (PCCs) and Visiting services.

Work closely with clinical and operational leaders to maintain safe, efficient and patient-focused service delivery.

Monitor quality, compliance, health & safety and audit requirements, driving continuous improvement across operational services.

Manage staffing rotas and resource levels, identifying risks and implementing solutions to maintain service continuity.

Handle complaints, feedback and operational issues, carrying out investigations and implementing preventative actions where required.

Produce operational reports and performance data, supporting budget management and achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs).

Support business continuity, fleet management, stock control, information governance, IT security and prescription monitoring processes.

Participate in the on-call management rota (additional payment provided) and contribute to service improvement projects and operational change initiatives.

Practice Plus Group is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to support our Integrated Urgent Care (IUC) services across Suffolk and North East Essex, including our Out of Hours (OOH) and Clinical Assessment Service (CAS). This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for the day-to-day operational management of services, ensuring safe, effective and patient-centred care is delivered at all times.

You will lead, support and develop operational teams, including remote colleagues, overseeing recruitment, onboarding, performance management, training and continuous professional development. Working closely with clinical and operational leaders, you will monitor service delivery, rota performance and workforce planning to ensure business needs, service demand and National Quality Requirements (NQRs) are consistently met.

The role is focused on driving operational excellence through quality assurance, audits, service improvement initiatives and effective resource management. You will take ownership of performance metrics, support business continuity planning, manage operational risks and help shape the ongoing development of our urgent care services. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes while leading high-performing teams in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

This permanent role could be full time for one individual or part time for multiple.

Good general education including GCSEs in English and Maths. Strong knowledge of Primary Care, Out of Hours, NHS 111 or Clinical Assessment Services. Experience managing a team in an Operations Supervisor or Lead capacity. Excellent communication and organisation skills including written and verbal. Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively under pressure.
