Lead an Established Children's Home and Make a Lasting Difference
Are you an experienced Ofsted Registered Manager or an Experienced Deputy looking to step up? If so, are you looking for your next leadership opportunity? We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Registered Manager to lead a new 4-bedded children's residential home in Doncaster, providing high-quality care and support for a young person with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). As Registered Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining high standards, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring the home provides a safe, stable, and nurturing environment where the young person can thrive. The Role You will be responsible for the overall leadership, management, and development of the home, ensuring full compliance with the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015, Quality Standards, and Ofsted requirements. Working alongside an experienced senior leadership team, you will lead a dedicated staff team, promote positive outcomes for the young person, and ensure the home continues to deliver high-quality care. Key Responsibilities
Maintain your registration with Ofsted as the Registered Manager.Provide effective leadership and day-to-day operational management of the home.Ensure the home consistently delivers safe, high-quality, child-centred care.Lead, motivate, supervise, and develop the residential care team.Promote a therapeutic and trauma-informed approach to care.Ensure robust safeguarding practices are embedded throughout the service.Oversee care planning, risk assessments, behaviour support strategies, and placement stability.Monitor quality assurance, audits, and regulatory compliance.Manage staffing, budgets, and resources effectively.Develop strong relationships with local authorities, social workers, education providers, healthcare professionals, and families.Drive continuous improvement with the ambition of achieving an Ofsted 'Good' or 'Outstanding' rating. About You You are an experienced children's residential care leader who is passionate about improving the lives of vulnerable children and young people. Essential Requirements
Previous experience as an Ofsted Registered Manager within a children's residential setting.Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification recognised by Ofsted).Strong working knowledge of the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015, Quality Standards, and safeguarding legislation.Experience supporting children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.Ability to manage performance, develop teams, and promote a positive culture.
Desirable
Previous experience managing solo or specialist residential placements.Full UK driving licence.Proven track record of achieving positive Ofsted inspection outcomes.Experience implementing therapeutic or trauma-informed care models.Strong understanding of behaviour support planning and placement stability.
