This is an exciting opportunity to provide highly specialised Occupational Therapy interventions to a diverse caseload in the community. You will play a pivotal role in supporting clients with severe and complex disabilities, as well as those with terminal illnesses, through the assessment, prescription, and provision of Environmental Control Systems. Your expertise will contribute to improving quality of life and promoting independence.

Deliver highly specialised neurological Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions tailored to individual client needs, including handling skills, cognitive/perceptual evaluations, and patient-specific positioning.

Assess, prescribe, and provide Environmental Control Systems to clients, including children, individuals with complex disabilities, and those with terminal illnesses.

Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic, person-centred care and service delivery.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

Experience in prescribing highly specialised equipment and applying the Occupational Therapy process effectively.

Evidence of supervising other Occupational Therapists, clerical staff, and students, as well as contributing to service development programmes.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Health Care Professionals Council.; -

Experience

Essential

  • Minimum of two years post-graduate experience, including working with clients with neurological conditions and within an Electronic Assistive Technology Team.
