Children's Occupational Therapist - Disability Team Are you a dedicated healthcare professional with a passion for paediatric care? We are currently seeking an experienced Locum Children's Occupational Therapist to join a specialised Disability Team in the Leeds area. In this role, you will manage a complex caseload, providing essential support to children with diverse physical and behavioural needs. This is an excellent opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of families within our community. Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments of children in their home environments to identify physical and behavioural needs.Provide expert recommendations for specialist equipment and perform complex moving and handling assessments.Design and oversee major home adaptations to improve accessibility and quality of life.Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and stakeholders to ensure holistic support.Maintain a steadfast commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Qualifications
Degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the HCPC.Proven experience in paediatric occupational therapy, specifically regarding specialist equipment and major adaptations.Advanced clinical reasoning skills and the ability to make sound, independent judgements.Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills with a collaborative "can-do" approach.Ability to travel independently by car and possession of a clear DBS check. Position Details This full-time position consists of 37 hours per week (08:30 - 17:00). The team operate a professional hybrid working pattern between home and office.
