Undertake a wide range of delegated clinical care duties in the hospital

Work under the supervision of qualified member of staff

To work under the supervision of a qualified nurse and assist in the implementation of patient care.

  • assist with moving and handling
  • follow guidance and procedures in relation to infection prevention and control
  • assist with nutrition and hydration needs
  • support patient personal care needs
  • carry out observations

Qualifications

Essential

  • Knowledge of care and related procedures, clinical observations, relevant legislation
  • Completion of a competency-based programme or equivalent relevant experience
  • Level 3 qualification in a healthcare related subject or a portfolio of demonstrable equivalent experience

Experiance

Essential: - Previous care experience in a health or social care setting
