Do you hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare qualification, an equivalent qualification, or have at least six months of relevant Early Years experience?

Would you like a full-time role where you can bring your own ideas into the nursery and play an active part in children's development?

TeacherActive is working with a welcoming Early Years setting in Derby (DE21) that is looking for an enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to become part of their team. The setting provides children with an engaging and nurturing environment, with a strong focus on learning through play, exploration and purposeful continuous provision.

This is a full-time Nursery Practitioner position with varied shifts, which may start from 8:00am or finish as late as 6:00pm depending on the rota. You will help create stimulating activities linked to the Early Years Curriculum and Early Learning Goals, support children through individual and small group learning, encourage independence and provide personal care as required throughout the day.

A Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare qualification, an equivalent Early Years qualification, or at least six months of relevant experience.
Knowledge of the Early Years Curriculum and Early Learning Goals.
An understanding of continuous provision and how children develop through purposeful, play-based learning.
Confidence supporting individual children and delivering engaging small group activities.
A caring and attentive approach, including confidence providing personal care when required.
A positive, creative and reliable attitude. Being able to drive would be helpful but is not essential.
