Job description

Croft Primary School (part of One Community Trust) is looking for a friendly, organised and enthusiastic Nursery Administration Assistant to support the successful day-to-day running of our school-based nursery.

This is a varied and important role at the heart of the nursery. You will be a key point of contact for our parents and carers, while providing high-quality administrative support to the Nursery Lead and wider school team.

The role requires a highly organised, approachable and proactive individual who can manage a varied workload, maintain confidentiality and provide an excellent service to families.

No two days will be quite the same. You will help manage nursery enquiries and applications, maintain children's records, support attendance and funding administration, assist with financial processes and ordering, and make sure parents receive clear and timely information.

  • Being a welcoming first point of contact for nursery parents and prospective families
  • Responding to telephone, email and face-to-face enquiries
  • Supporting nursery applications, admissions and waiting lists
  • Maintaining accurate children's records and attendance information
  • Supporting the administration of nursery sessions and funded childcare
  • Assisting with invoices, payments and other basic financial administration
  • Preparing letters, parent communications and nursery information
  • Ordering nursery resources and supplies
  • Supporting data returns and other nursery administration
  • Working closely with the Nursery Lead, school office and finance team
  • Handling sensitive and confidential information appropriately

We are looking for someone with excellent organisational and communication skills who is comfortable working in a busy environment and dealing with a wide range of people.

Confidence when using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel is essential.

Experience of working within a school, nursery or early years setting would be an advantage, as would experience of school management information systems, nursery funding or financial administration.

Why join Croft Primary School and One Community Trust?

You will be joining a Trust committed to providing excellent opportunities for children and creating supportive, collaborative environments for its staff.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys administration but also wants a role where they can become an integral part of a nursery and school community.

One Community Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful applicant will be subject to appropriate pre-employment checks, including an enhanced DBS check
