- Routing information to the right clinician (GP, pharmacist, nurse, etc.) based on urgency, risk, and clinical protocols.
- Coding and summarising key clinical information into EMIS to keep patient records accurate and up to date.
- Spotting urgent or safetycritical information and escalating it quickly to ensure no important clinical actions are missed.
- Supporting clinicians by reducing their administrative workload, allowing them to focus on direct patient care.
- Managing workflow queues, keeping on top of backlogs, and helping maintain safe turnaround times.

The purpose of this role is to support the clinical team by managing key administrative tasks that underpin safe, effective patient care. You will play a vital part in ensuring that patient information is processed accurately, workflows run smoothly, and clinicians are supported to focus on direct patient care.
A core element of the role is the triage and assessment of incoming patient clinical documents as part of the Document Assessment Team. This includes reviewing, categorising, and allocating clinical correspondence appropriately, ensuring urgent or safetycritical information is flagged and passed to the right clinician at the right time.
By combining strong administrative capability with an understanding of clinical priorities, you will help maintain continuity of care, improve safety, and enhance the overall patient experience.
