ASD, ADHD and other barriers to learning. As a Mental Health Assistant, you will play an important role in helping pupils feel safe, understood and able to engage with school. You will develop positive relationships with students and provide consistent encouragement throughout the school day. The Mental Health Assistant role will involve: * Providing 1:1 and small group emotional and pastoral support* Helping pupils develop confidence and emotional regulation strategies* Supporting students who may experience anxiety or emotional distress* Encouraging positive engagement with learning and school life* Building trusting and professional relationships with pupils* Working closely with Teachers, pastoral staff and the wider SEN team* Promoting a calm, safe and inclusive environment* ASAP start in Bracknell with good transport links The school is looking for a Mental Health Assistant who is compassionate, patient and able to build strong relationships with young people.
