Mental Health Assistant - Stroud Salary: £90 - £105 per day (dependent on experience) Location: Stroud Job Type: Full-time Hours: Full Time (8:30am - 4:00pm) Start Date: ASAP Are you passionate about supporting young people's mental health and wellbeing? Are you looking to gain hands-on experience within a mainstream education setting supporting students with additional needs? Academics are currently recruiting for a Mental Health Assistant to join a school in Stroud. This rewarding role involves supporting students with a range of social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, alongside a range of complex needs, autism and associated learning differences, within a supportive environment. Support students with emotional regulation, wellbeing, and engagement in learningProvide 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual needsAssist with behaviour strategies and promote positive coping mechanismsHelp create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environmentWork collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals What We're Looking For - Mental Health Assistant
A patient, empathetic, and resilient approachExperience supporting SEN, SEMH, or challenging behaviourStrong communication and relationship-building skillsInterest in mental health, SEN, and child developmentPsychology, counselling, education, or related background desirablePrevious experience with young people or mental health beneficial but not essential What's on Offer
