We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic team player to provide secretarial support to the Gastroenterology department as a Medical Secretary. Th...
You will be responsible for ensuring that the administration needs of the department are completed in a timely way.
You will ensure that timeframes are met for the management of patient pathways in accordance with Referral to Treatment targets.
You will support team members by having a flexible approach to both workload, additional tasks and working patterns.
For this post you will require attention to detail as well as excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritise and plan.

Experience
Essential
- Good clerical / secretarial background, proven experience
- Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and IT skills
- Work involving contact with members of the public.
Desirable
- NHS experience
- Experience with Epic EPR
Qualifications
Essential
- 5 GCSEs, grade C/4 or above, including English & Maths
Desirable
- RSA/OCR 2-3 Audio Typing
Knowledge
Essential
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Data Protection
- Ability to communicate well with others at all levels, both verbally and written.
- Knowledge of all Trust/NHS targets
- Good keyboard skills
Desirable
- Knowledge of NHS policies
- Medical terminology
