Job description

FindCore are thrilled to be assisting a fast-growing customer support business with the recruitment of a Benefits Claims Advisor.

Permanent, full-time position based in Altrincham.

This is a client-focused role supporting predominantly older customers through Attendance Allowance claims. You will speak with clients about their health, personal circumstances and day-to-day care needs, then turn those conversations into clear, detailed and accurate claims.

Salary

Fully negotiable, depending on experience + additional benefits

  • Manage claims from initial client interview through to completion.
  • Conduct structured telephone appointments with clients, typically lasting 30–60 minutes.
  • Discuss medical conditions, symptoms, treatment and day-to-day care requirements.
  • Ask detailed follow-up questions to fully understand each client’s circumstances.
  • Identify important information that may otherwise be overlooked.
  • Prepare accurate, detailed and professionally written claims.
  • Maintain high standards of spelling, grammar and written communication.
  • Keep accurate client records and case notes.
  • Manage a busy caseload and ensure claims progress efficiently.
  • Work closely with the wider team to maintain excellent customer service.

  • Compassionate, patient and confident speaking with older customers.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Strong written English with excellent attention to detail.
  • Comfortable discussing sensitive health and personal care matters.
  • Able to understand and process detailed medical information.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple cases.
  • Previous Attendance Allowance experience is not required as full training will be provided.
  • Experience within healthcare, nursing, social care, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, medical administration, case management, legal services or support work would be advantageous.
  • A medical or healthcare background would be particularly beneficial.
