As Matron, you will be expected to demonstrate the qualities and skills associated with a clinical leadership role and be accountable for services meeting essential standards of care as outlined by the CQC as well as agreed local and national quality standards encompassing the following domains:
- Patient Safety
- Quality
- Environment
- Infection Prevention
- Physical Health
- Safeguarding
- Feedback, Complaints, service improvement
- Clinical Audit

Qualifications
Essential: - Diploma level/Degree in relevant health/social care profession, eg RMN, RLDN OT, Social Worker.; - Current relevant registration with the NMC or HCPC
Desirable: - Masters Level Degree or equivalent
Experience
Essential
- Significant experience working within and managing mental health clinical services
- Significant experience of clinical performance management
- Significant general and operational management experience to include the management of a large multi-disciplinary group of staff - part of which to have been in the NHS
