Provide clerical support in all areas of the maternity and neonatal services, using a wide range of IT systems, inputting of sensitive patient information and time sensitive data.

We are looking for a person who is able to work within a team and with experience of working with the general public in an administration role, preferably within a health care environment.

Qualification

Essential: - Typing skills or experience or equivalent IT skills

Desirable: - RSA typing level 2 or above (or equivalent)

Qualification

Essential: - English and Maths Grade C GCSE or above

Desirable: - NVQ / A Levels

Experience

Essential: - Relevant experience of working within the public in a customer/patient facing role and dealing with face-to-face enquiries and/or telephone calls

Desirable

  • Reception experience in a healthcare setting
  • Evidence of working on your own initiative within established procedures, organising and prioritising own workload
  • Experience of dealing with difficult and sensitive situations
  • Experience of working within a clerical setting using office procedures for a minimum of two years

Experience

Essential: - Working within an administrative team

Knowledge and Skills

Essential

  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritise workload and use own initiative
  • Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good organisational and time management skills

Desirable: - Knowledge of hospital systems and processes; - Knowledge of reception and admin procedures
