Job description

REESON Education are recruiting for a male support worker in a special needs college in Sutton (SM3 9PX), working with Post 16 learners. As a support worker, you will be assisting learners with their day-to-day needs in both the classroom and the community. There are permanent roles available for the right people.

This is an immediate start. Applicants with an enhanced adult and child DBS on the Update Service will be expedited through the clearance process.

Are you looking for your next role working with young adults with special needs, or a change in career with a feel-good reward? If so, we would love to hear from you!

  • Support Worker experience is preferred but not essential.
  • You must be able to commute to Sutton easily.
  • You must be able to work Monday to Friday, term time only, and have no visa restrictions.

We're looking for Support Workers to work with the college, supporting young adults who have learning disabilities, autism, complex needs and behaviours that challenge. The college has various services in the area, including other campuses. As a support worker, you will be based at the Sutton site, but there may be the opportunity to transfer later if that is something you want.

No two days are the same, but your day might look like this:

  • Supporting our learners to engage in day-to-day living activities, including making full use of their community and beyond.
  • Supporting our learners with social activities and connecting with family and friends.
  • Working as part of a class team, as this support worker role is based in the classroom.

Please note this role is full time and you must already have the right to work within the UK without restriction. Unfortunately, we cannot sponsor applicants.
