The LCSP will become the fourth national screening programme with effect from 2030, and to support that ambition , Cancer Alliances are required to invite 100% of the eligible population by 2029/30.

This role will therefore play a key part in achieving this ambition for Kent and Medway.

Qualifications/Experience

Essential

  • Educated to master's level or equivalent experience.
  • Significant experience of leading complex programmes across multiple organisations.
  • Experience working within NHS or healthcare transformation programmes.
  • Experience of analysing complex data and presenting findings to senior stakeholders.

Desirable

  • Programme or project management qualification

Knowledge

Essential

  • Understanding of NHS strategy, cancer pathways, screening programmes and health inequalities.
  • Knowledge of governance, risk management and service improvement methodologies.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of lung cancer screening delivery models and national LCSP policy

Skills

Essential

  • Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously.
  • Skilled in report writing and use of Microsoft Office applications

Desirable

  • Experience of facilitating workshops and large-scale engagement events
