At the William Harvey Hospital the consultant team are supported by two IBD nurses, a hepatology nurse and UGI STT nurses who support the UGI cancer pathway.
The post holder will be required to support the site-based GI Bleeding rota (1 in 8).
During elective working weeks the post holder will be provide two OPD clinics per week (face to face and telephone) and two general endoscopy lists, plus a session dedicated to a specialist interest and/or leadership role. SPA will be allocated (1-2PA) to support revalidation, service development and supervision of trainees. Variation in this pattern may be negotiable depending on individual and departmental service requirements.
The post holder may be expected to fulfil some of their elective clinical commitments on other sites in the Trust.

Qualifications and training

- Full GMC Registration
Desirable
- CCST Specialist Registration in Gastroenterology
- To hold MRCP (UK) Post graduate gastroenterology qualifications - MD, PhD, ESEGH or equivalent

- Experienced in all aspects of Gastroenterology

- Evidence of experience in Clinical Governance
- Experience of Audit
