We are currently recruiting for a compassionate, reliable and experienced Live-In Care Assistant to provide dedicated one-to-one support to a wheelchair-dependent client.
The ideal candidate will be Romanian speaking, although applicants who speak Polish or Bulgarian will also be considered.
- Providing personalised one-to-one care and support within the client's home.
- Assisting with mobility, transfers and hoisting.
- Supporting with personal care, hygiene and daily living activities.
- Assisting with medication and general care needs.
- Preparing basic meals and supporting nutritional needs.
- Promoting the client's independence, dignity and wellbeing.
- Providing companionship and emotional support.
- Previous experience working as a Care Assistant or Support Worker.
- Experience supporting wheelchair-dependent clients.
- Confident and competent in using hoists and moving and handling equipment.
- Romanian language skills preferred; Polish or Bulgarian speakers also considered.
- Minimum height of 168cm, specified in relation to the client's mobility and hoisting requirements.
- A caring, patient and professional approach.
- Enhanced DBS required.
