Are you ready to lead, inspire, and shape the future of rehabilitation?
Were looking for an inspiring and forward-thinking Lead Occupational
Therapist to join our therapy team at Blackheath Brain Injury Rehabilitation
Centre, with a key role in supporting the delivery and development of therapy
services at our neighbouring Chislehurst unit.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious OT ready to take the
next step in their career, leading and inspiring a talented team while driving
high standards of clinical practice and outstanding patient outcomes. Youll
balance team leadership, service development and clinical oversight with a
small but rewarding clinical caseload, ensuring you remain connected to the
patients and rehabilitation work at the heart of our service.
Youll have the autonomy to shape how the OT service is delivered,
supported by an established, well-resourced team, and the flexibility to use
your expertise where it makes the most impact. In addition, you will be part of
the therapy leadership team which has responsibility for ensuring strong
clinical governance, staff wellbeing and service development.
Every day is about rebuilding lives and creating success stories. We
specialise in supporting people with acquired brain injury and complex
neurological conditions, providing patient-centred rehabilitation that
transforms futures.
Our standard working hours are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
However, we understand the importance of a positive work-life balance, and
therefore, if you require some flexibility to better suit your personal or
professional needs, we encourage you to discuss this with us, and we
will do our best to accommodate your preferences where possible.
As our Lead OT, you will have the opportunity to:
Lead with impact: Manage, mentor, and inspire our Occupational
Therapy team, ensuring high-quality care delivery.
Clinical leadership: Hold a small caseload with a focus on complex
needs, guiding your team through best practice approaches.
Shape the service: Drive service development, contribute to strategy,
and champion continuous improvement.
Support others: Provide supervision, teaching, and professional
development to staff and students.
Collaborate across disciplines: Work closely with patients,
families, carers, and the wider team to deliver truly holistic rehabilitation
alongside taking on key worker responsibility.
Quality and safety: Lead on clinical governance, audit, and risk
management to keep standards high and people safe.
