Undertake comprehensive initial assessments for individuals entering the long-term intervention pathway.
Work alongside Consultant Psychiatrists to provide holistic assessments.
Support service users to understand and navigate their care pathways.
Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency team.
Contribute to the delivery of high-quality, person-centred mental health care.
Promote recovery-focused and strengths-based approaches in all aspects of care.
"Do" safeguarding - it's everybody's business.
Attend Derby Wellbeing Team meeting structure - relative to WTE.
Demonstrate post registration experience with a thirst for something different.
Be a role model, offering mentoring and supervision to other staff and students.
You will need to have the ability to transport yourself and service users across a wide geographical area without compromising service needs.

Qualifications
Essential
- NMC registered Mental Health Nurse
- Degree/ Diploma in Nursing
- Membership of a nursing professional body and / or special interest group
Desirable
- ENB998/Mentoring in Practice
Skills
Essential
- Team working evidence
- Evidence of excellent verbal and non verbal communication skills
Desirable
- Group work experience
Knowledge/ Experience
Essential
- Relevant recent, post graduate experience
- Experience of working with people who have severe and enduring needs
- Experience of supervising staff and students
- Experience of audit, research and clinical governance procedures and their application in practice
- High level understanding of Mental Health disorders and treatment models
- Extensive knowledge of the principles of Safety planning
Desirable
- Experience of working in community with people with mental health needs
- Experience of completing comprehensive initial mental health assessments
