Job description
A rare opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual with a cardiology background to join our team in the Cardiac and Stroke Receiving Unit (CSRU)...
Within this role the successful applicant will co-ordinate the shift, support the junior staff and provide expert knowledge where needed. Part of their daily responsibilities will also involve working in a supportive role alongside the stroke nurses ensuring that we deliver the highest possible care to all service users.
Running and coordinating a busy 8 bed unit for the region involving stroke and cardiac working with a full multi-disciplinary approach .

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING
Essential
- NMC Registration on Part 1 of the Register
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Teaching And assessing or Mentorship qualification /PASS
- First Line Management Course/ PEAK 1
Desirable
- Post-registration qualification in specialist area/ Coronary care course
- Band 6 Development course
EXPERIENCE
Essential
- Experience of teaching and assessing students and qualified & non-qualified staff in the clinical area
- Previous experience as shift/team leader
- Experience of and a clear Knowledge of care of patients with a Stroke
SKILLS, ABILITIES & KNOWLEDGE
Essential
- Ability to write detailed reports on patients' care to ensure interpretation by other members of the multi-disciplined team for complete and safe care of the patient.
- Ability to work within a team and independently to manage and plan own and team care of patients to ensure provision of high quality, comprehensive, holistic and timely assessments and treatments for patients
