IST Practitioner

The Intensive Support Team works with adults with learning disabilities and/or autism who present with complex needs, including distressed behaviour, mental health difficulties, and significant psychosocial stressors.The service is community-based, aiming to prevent hospital admissions, support people through periods of crisis, and promote stability, quality of life, and meaningful engagement.Practice within the team is person-centred, trauma-informed, and formulation-led, with a strong emphasis on relational safety for both service users and staff.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of.

Knowledge, skills and training

Essential: - Must hold RNLD or RNMH or Occupational Therapist Degree/ Diploma; - Evidence of continued professional development

Essential: - Must hold full Uk licence and have a car for work purposes
