You will lead a team delivering the 0-19 Healthy Child Programme for a varied, unique and diverse population, in supportive skill mix teams, working closely with our partner agencies across health, social care and the local authority.

You will provide daily advice and support to a fantastic and dedicated 0-19 team of practitioners You must excel in communication and interpersonal skills and be able to influence and lead others, manage your workload and support colleagues.

  • The Team Leader will lead and manage a district team within the FHWS Service within a designated area to support children, young people and their families and carers.
  • The Team Leader will ensure that any gaps in quality of service, budget or performance deficits are identified and brought to the attention of the Service Manager.
  • Manage staffing, workloads, annual leave, sickness absence, and workforce planning.
  • Conduct appraisals, supervision, performance reviews, and support staff development
  • Maintain professional registration and provide clinical leadership and expert support to the team.
  • Ensure delivery of commissioned elements of the Healthy Child Programme and achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Monitor service quality, performance targets, and financial resources through regular audits.
  • Lead audits and quality improvement activities
  • Hold regular team meetings and ensure effective communication of organisational changes.
  • Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, local authorities, primary care, and external partners.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, policies, safeguarding requirements, and professional standards
  • Handle complaints, investigations, and service user concerns appropriately
  • Deputise for the Service Manager when required

  • NMC registered
  • SCPHN qualification
  • evidence of leadership training
