The CTM School Nurse Service is seeking a motivated autonomous, and resilient band 5 immunisation Nurse to join the team. This term-time post is 30 ho...

  • To provide high standard of evidence-based care in the delivery of childhood vaccinations in school and community settings.
  • Develop and maintain good communication and relationships with partners, for example Cwm Taf Morgannwg wide schools and primary care.
  • Undertake training programmes for immunisations schedules which include storage and administration of vaccines and gaining consent.
  • Promote the National Immunisation Programme and take all opportunities to increase the uptake and advise parents about the immunisation schedule.
  • To attend relevant immunisation meetings to report on immunisation issues.
  • Support with the delivery of the wider public health role of the school nursing service.

Qualifications & Knoweldge

Essential

  • Active UK NMC registration

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Public health Agenda.
  • The national two day minimum standards for immunisation training
