There is a requirement to work a shift pattern that provides a service 7 days a week 365 days of the year.

The post holder will work within an integrated mental health team to carry out assigned care delivery to improve patients mental wellbeing and promote recovery.
The post holder will work with carers and relatives ensuring they are supported and offered carers assessments. To support carer's views and observations to be included in the mental health assessment and treatment of their loved ones.
The post holder will support physical health care for clients on the caseload and will engage in the completion of checks and report findings to wider team for action where required.
The post holder will support individuals to engage with voluntary and peer support services promoting community support and reduction in isolation.

Experience
Essential
- Minimum of 1 year experience of caring for patients in a mental health clinical setting, inpatient ward or community team
- Previous experience of working as part of a mental health team
- Demonstrate a keen interest mental health care.
Desirable
- Previous experience of supervision of staff
Knowledge
Essential
- Understand importance of maintaining confidentiality
- Understanding of mental health problems
Skills
Essential
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate effectively both face to face and in writing
- Able to support and reassure patients / carers in distress
- Basic IT skills
Qualifications
Essential
- English and Maths at level 2 or equivalent (GCSE 9-4 or A*- C or functional skills level 2)
- NVQ Level 2 in a related subject
- NVQ level 3 in related subject or willingness to undertake a relevant Level 3 Apprenticeship
