We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse with post-registration experience and a passion for delivering high-quality care to patients living with heart failure.
The successful candidate will be involved in the assessment, management and ongoing care of patients with heart failure across a variety of settings, including:
- Inpatient wards
- Virtual clinics
- Virtual ward
- Patients' homes
- Telephone consultations
The role will involve reviewing and clinically assessing patients with heart failure, providing specialist advice and recommending evidence-based therapies, including appropriate medications and cardiac devices.

Qualifications
Essential
- Current Professional Registration (RN)
- First level degree or willingness to undertake
- Evidence of continuous professional development
- Basic / Intermediate life support
- Teaching and assessing
Desirable
- Heart failure qualification or willing to undertake
- Clinical assessment course or willingness to undertake
- Coronary care course
- Health promotion qualification
- Counselling qualification
- Current venepuncture and cannulation certificate
Experience
Essential
- Significant current clinical experience in cardiac nursing and/or CHD experience
- Ability to successfully manage people and change
- Experience of patient education
Desirable
- Primary Care Experience
- Understanding and knowledge of heart failure
- Experience of working with people with complex needs
- Resource management
- Experienced in venepuncture and cannulation
Knowledge
Essential
- A knowledgeable clinician with the ability to apply evidence-based practice
- Considerable knowledge of heart failure evidence-based therapy
- Psychosocial and cultural perspectives of health and disease
- A sound knowledge of professional policies and procedures
- Knowledge of clinical governance & a commitment to clinical supervision and staff development
Desirable
- A good understanding of current issues relating to the NHS.
- Experience in Policy/Service Development
- Knowledge of Community Services
