This service is planned to remain at Poole site in Spring 2027.
If a role or service relocates as part of a planned move, excess mileage will not be reimbursed. Travel from home to the new work base will be classed as a normal commute. Any other changes will be managed under Trust or national terms and conditions.

Experience
Essential: - Experience of working with customers and a range of different people
Desirable
- Previous experience of working within a care environment/NHS
- Experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Experience of working with the public
- Basic food handling
Knowledge
Essential: - An understanding around basic patient care; - Understanding of the importance of the promotion of health and well-being
Desirable: - Knowledge of care and related procedures, clinical observations, relevant legislation;; - Experience in admitting patients
Qualifications
Essential: - Good standard of general education including literacy and numeracy
Desirable
- GCSE (or equivalent) English and numeracy
- Completion of a competency-based workbook/Care Certificate
- Equivalent relevant experience to vocational level 3

- Understands limits of own responsibility
- Willingness to learn new skills
Technical Skills and Competencies
Essential
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively

- IT literate

- Understanding of basic physiology, e.g. normal vital signs, fluid balance, nutritional requirements etc.
- Venepuncture and cannulation
- ECG
- Bladder scanning
