Highlighted below are some of the nursing skills needed for a fast paced working area such as Plastic Surgery Outpatients :
- The ability to work both independently and as part of the wider Multidisciplinary Team
- Supporting and assisting your consultant colleagues in the smooth running of their clinics.
- Acting as a chaperone.
- Supporting our outpatient minor surgical and emergency trauma lists. However if you do not have these skills, we will support you in obtaining competencies to support this service.
As part of the Plastic Surgery nursing team you will support our qualified staff in undertaking all aspects of outpatient care including clinics, simple wound dressings and runner in minor operations. If you do not already possess circulating skills additional training will be given to support you in this role.

Experience
Essential
- Customer Service relations experience
- Care Certificate
- Numeracy and Literacy Level 2/GCSE Math and English Grade A-C
- At least one years' secondary care experience in Outpatients and/or Theatres
Desirable
- Flexible to service demands
- Evidence of additional training
- Previous health care experience related to Burns and Plastics
- NVQ in Health or Social Care Level 3
