Healthcare Assistant (Live In)

• Providing personal care and support with daily routines.
• Supporting the client with their complex care needs, in accordance with their care plan.
• Assisting with mobility, transfers and positioning as required.
• Supporting with medication
• Monitoring the clients wellbeing and reporting any changes or concerns appropriately.
• Preparing meals and drinks, taking account of the clients preferences and dietary requirements.
• Supporting with household tasks such as laundry, cleaning, tidying.
• Accompanying and supporting the client with appointments, outings and activities where required.
• Providing companionship and encouraging social interaction and meaningful activities.
• Supporting the client to pursue their interests and maintain as much independence as possible.
• Following care plans, risk assessments, health and safety procedures, maintaining accurate care records and reporting any concerns or incidents.
• Respecting the clients home, choices, confidentiality and personal boundaries.
• Working cooperatively with other carers to ensure consistent, high-quality care.

Essential

• Previous experience in care of support work, ideally within complex care or live in care minimum one year.
• Good communication and observation skills.
• Reliable, professional and able to work independently, aswell as part of a team.
• Willing to learn new skills and complete relevant training and competency assessments.
• The ability to build a positive professional and trusting relationship with the client.
