We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and motivated Healthcare Assistant to join us on a part-time basis to provide a high quality of care to our patients. A successful candidate will be confident with excellent organisation skills and the ability to work alone within the specific remit, as well as being a good team member.

We are looking to fill the hours (20-37.5 per week) with either 2 part-time postholders or 1 full-time postholder. The role(s) will include 8am starts and one 8pm finish (Tuesdays) per week. Full driving licence preferred.

Clinical skills

  • Undertake, record

and follow guidelines for the tasks for which you have received

appropriate training

  • Urinalysis and

preparation of specimens for investigation by the pathology laboratory

  • Administer vaccinations

under a patient specific direction (PSD)

  • Measuring and

recording following physiological measurements in routine presentations:

Prepare

We are a friendly and committed family practice. At Goyt Valley Medical

Practice, we comprise of a multi-disciplinary clinical team including GPs,

Advanced Clinical Practitioners, Clinical Pharmacists, Mental Health Support

Worker, Practice Nurses and HCAs alongside a supportive

and experienced administration team.

We use EMIS Web as our clinical system.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Willingness to study and train where required

Desirable

  • Healthcare qualification (level 3 or 4) or working towards
  • Phlebotomy certification
  • Ear syringing certification

Experience

Desirable

  • Venepuncture
  • Experience of working within a nursing team
  • Experience of working in a healthcare setting
