The role of a Head Chef at Agincare involves more than just cooking; it entails providing a high quality of life for care home residents. The Head Chef will collaborate with the home manager to plan and implement menu ideas, taking into account residents dietary needs, including modified food textures and allergies. The position involves kitchen management, including stock management and maintaining hygiene standards. The role does not require evening or night work and offers a salary of £18.00 per hour. What is required from you? - A minimum of 12 months on your right to work

  • A background within kitchens and understanding of how to run a professional kitchen
  • Knowledge of the IDDSI framework or supporting complex dietary requirements is desirable.
  • Available to work 45 hours per week on a set shift pattern
  • No evening or night work required for this position

A day in the life of a Cook - Menu planning -Collaborating with the home manager and our residents' requests and wishes, you will be able to develop and implement menu ideas. Our homes are always having themed days and events where you can showcase your skills and creativity.

  • Understanding dietary needs - You will work closely with the wider staff to ensure we are meeting our resident's specific nutritional and dietary needs including modified food textures and allergies.
  • Kitchen Management -You will be the main point of contact for the kitchen and responsible for the day to day running of stock management and hygiene standards
