As a General Assistant at a Barchester care home, you'll carry out a range of tasks to help us provide the quality care and support our residents deserve. No two days will be the same as you take on diverse responsibilities across housekeeping, cleaning, laundry, and catering. It's because this is such a wide-reaching role that you'll be able to play your own part in creating a warm and homely environment. Caring and empathetic, as a General Assistant you'll put our residents first and build the kind of positive professional relationships with them that make their experience with us happy and meaningful. As this is a Bank position to provide cover as and when we need it, such as for annual leave or sick leave, the hours and days you work will vary. People in a General Assistant role come from all walks of life and have all kinds of life experiences and career paths behind them.
