WCA Functional Assessor – Hybrid | Monday–Friday | No Weekends

Are you a Registered Nurse, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Paramedic or Pharmacist looking to use your clinical expertise in a completely different way?
Salary: £40,000 increasing to £42,000 after 12 months
Location: Weston-Super-Mare
A WCA Functional Assessor role could be your next career move.
As a Functional Assessor, you'll use your clinical knowledge, assessment skills and professional judgement to understand how an individual's health conditions or disabilities affect their functional ability and capacity for work.
You'll carry out structured assessments, review medical information, ask relevant questions and produce clear, accurate and evidence-based reports.
This isn't a hands-on clinical role — you'll be using the skills you've developed throughout your healthcare career in a new and rewarding environment.
- Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm
- No nights, weekends or bank holidays
- Hybrid working

- No previous Functional Assessor experience required
- Use your existing clinical and assessment skills

Who We're Looking For? We're looking for experienced:
- Registered Nurses
- Physiotherapists
- Occupational Therapists
- Pharmacists
- Paramedics
- Active NMC or HCPC registration
- At least 12 months' post-registration clinical experience
- Strong communication and clinical reasoning skills
- Confidence completing assessments and documenting clinical information
- The ability to work independently and manage your workload
