Foster Carers Needed – Barnsley Children Need You
Could you make a difference to a local child's life?
We're looking for caring people from all walks of life to become foster carers and help keep Barnsley children close to their families, schools, friends and communities.

We offer a range of fostering roles, including:
- Short-term fostering
- Long-term fostering
- Emergency fostering
- Short breaks and respite care
- Staying Put arrangements for young people moving into adulthood
- Are aged 21 or over, there is no upper age limit.
- Have the time, commitment and nurturing skills to care for a child
- Have a spare bedroom (for children aged 2 and above)
- For babies 0-2 years, so spare bedroom required.
- Want to make a lasting difference to a child's future
You don't need formal qualifications, and many foster carers continue to work alongside fostering, depending on the type of care they provide.
As a foster carer, you'll provide a safe, stable and caring home for a child while working alongside professionals from social work, health and education as part of the Team Around the Child.
