Facilities Operative

This is primarily a hands-on cleaning position where you will learn all the back-ground skills and knowledge toenable you to complete the role, e.g. enhanced and periodic clean training, NHS National Cleaning standards,completion of paperwork, equipment training, COSHH, waste management and basic catering tasks.

As a community Trust, many of our roles require individuals to be able to drive to perform their duties. Where driving is a requirement of the role, you will be asked to confirm that you hold a full UK driving licence or a full driving licence issued by an EU country (not exchanged from a non-EU country) to proceed with your application. QUALIFICATIONS

Essential: - Good standard of general education including literacy and numeracy

Desirable: - Functional Skills at Level 2 (Literacy and numeracy/ GCSE grade A-C or equivalent in English and Maths)

KNOWLEDGE

Essential: - Understanding of good hygiene; - Basic knowledge of IT skills

Desirable: - Knowledge of NHS Cleaning Standards 2025; - Knowledge of COSHH and Health and Safety practices

EXPERIENCE

Essential: - Recent cleaning experience; - Experience of working as part of a team

Desirable: - Experience of cleaning in a health and Social Care setting

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Essential: - Attention to detail and presentation.; - Able to carry out manual tasks.
