Your Duties will include
Undertake New Patient Health Checks
Undertake NHS Health Checks
Health promotion and Lifestyle
advice,
Supporting Long Term Condition Reviews
Diabetic Foot Checks - were trained.
Height, Weight and BMI measurements.
Ensure specimens are recorded and ready for transportation
Providing support in minor surgery clinics if required.
Supporting QOF and BeCCoR priorities.
Maintaining accurate clinical
records,
Supporting Infection prevention and
control proceedures,

Ensure fridges are routinely cleaned in accordance with current guidance
Stock Control
Work Collaboratively with GP's nurses and admin staff
Administering certain Injections under PSD

Located just outside the heart
of Wigan town centre, The Dicconson Group Practice is a well established GP
Practice serving a diverse patient population of approximately 9650 patients.
You will be joining a welcoming
and experienced clinical team at the Practice.
This is headed up by 4
supportive GP Partners. We have a dedicated team of 3 salaried GP's . 2
Advanced Practitioners, 3 Practice Nurses, a Nurse Associate and our Healthcare
Associate.
They in turn are supported by
our non-clinical team, which includes our friendly reception team , dedicated
secretaries and data quality lead as well as our management team of 3.
We pride ourselves on our
collaborative supportive environment, where every team member is valued and
encouraged to contribute to the ongoing development of the Practice.

Qualifications
Essential
- Essential criteria
- Basic Qualifications.
- Relevant health and social care qualifications.
Desirable
- Desirable criteria
- Qualified in Phlebotomy
Experience
Essential
- Experience of working in General Practice
- Ability to work effectively as a team player under appropriate supervision and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to work within own scope of practice and understanding when to refer to clinical colleagues
Team Work
Essential
- Ability to work well with Nurses, GP's Admin and other support staff in a fast paces environment .
Personal Qualities
Essential
- Effective Time Management.
- Demonstrated personal accountability.
- Ability to listen, empathise with patients and provide person centered support in a non-judgmental way.
- Ability to use own initiative, discretion and sensitivity
- Understanding of safeguarding.
