The Senior Technician will be able to effectively advise, instruct and train colleagues, and other groups, in the safe operation of equipment and systems.

Be able to liaise with Trust staff to discuss Estates work related issues and provide concise and detailed responses both verbally and in writing.

You will be able to communicate complex technical and safety advice effectively with a wide range of groups including department colleagues, other Trust staff groups, contractors, patients, and the general public, particularly in a potential emergency situation. This may be delivered as formal training, or informally as part of the Senior Technicians daily routine, but will always ensure compliance with all recognised safety standards and procedures.

Effectively communicate with all levels of Trust Staff in regard to maintenance and repair arrangements and schedules in order to underpin the smooth and efficient running of the Trust and maintain continuity of care to patients

Qualifications

Essential

  • ONC Elec/Mech + relevant practical experience, Or HNC Elec/Mech + practical relevant experience Or equivalent technical qualification + relevant experience

Desirable

  • practical relevant experience Or equivalent technical qualification + relevant experience in Elec/ Mech

Knowledge

Essential

  • Electrical/Mechanical/building services legislation.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of: Health Technical Memorandums
