The Endoscopy and Treatment Unit an exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time permanent Endoscopy Technicians to join our busy unit. We operate ...

To work under the supervision of senior nurses and with other members of the multidisciplinary team to provide the physical and emotional care for both inpatients and outpatients undergoing a variety of endoscopic medical and surgical procedures on the department.

Qualifications

  • NVQ 3 (National Vocational Qualifications) in Health Care or equivalent relevant clinical experience

Knowledge

Essential

  • Data protection

  • C.O.S.H.H Control of Substance Hazardous to Health

Desirable

  • Trust and Governing body policies and practices relevant to Endoscopy

Skills

Essential

  • Moving and handling
  • Evidence of fine motor skills
  • Competent to monitor patient, undertake observations

  • Manipulation of fine instruments and delicate equipment

Experience

  • Clinical experience within a healthcare setting
  • Experience of working directly with the public
  • Decontamination and infection control awareness
