Job description
Rate: £1,200 per assessment Location: North East (face-to-face delivery) Contract Type: Locum We are working with local authorities across North East England to engage experienced Educational Psychologists for face-to-face locum assignments. This role is ideal for EPs who value direct engagement with children, families, and schools while delivering high-quality assessments. You will play a key role in supporting children and young people through in-person assessment work, helping to inform meaningful interventions and positive educational outcomes. Key Responsibilities
Undertake face-to-face psychological assessments in line with EHCP requirementsObserve children and young people in educational settingsProduce clear, high-quality written reports with practical, evidence-based recommendationsWork directly with schools, SEN teams, and families to gather information and provide feedbackApply psychological frameworks to understand learning, behaviour, and emotional needsManage your own caseload and meet agreed deadlines Requirements
Doctorate or Master’s in Educational PsychologyHCPC registrationProven experience completing statutory assessments and EP advice for EHCPsStrong report writing and communication skillsAbility to build rapport quickly in face-to-face settings What’s On Offer
