What will I be doing?

Driving clinicians on shift to home visits within our areas of operation, within set time frames.

Responsible for the safety of the car and its contents while the doctor is attending patients.

Ensure the medical car is checked, properly equipped and all IT equipment logged.

Be the first point of contact greeting patients attending appointments, handling enquiries.

Carry out all admin duties ensuring attention to detail and confidentiality at all times.

Be fully up to date with all policies and procedures related to the role ensuring they are always followed.

Liaise with dispatchers through shift when driving.

Ensure detailed handovers are complete after every shift.

Be the first point of contact greeting patients attending appointments, handling enquiries, when covering reception duties.

What do I need?

Full UK clean driving licence

Great communication skills

Basic computer skills including keyboard and data entry skills

Demonstrated ability to conduct through vehicle inspections, including checking oil levels, tire pressure and tread depth.

A proactive mindset to seek guidance when required.

Competent in using IT systems.

Do you have driving & administration experience? Primary care 24 (PC24) are looking for Drivers to join our workforce, who will drive clinicians to home visits and cover reception duties in our Out of Hours services. You will ensure the medic car assigned to the shift is checked, properly equipped and all IT equipment is logged on. The driver will act as support to the Clinician on shift and ensure they arrive at the dispatched home visits in a safe and efficient manor, and within the required time frames. These visits can range anywhere in the geographical footprint of Primary Care 24, so you must be flexible and adapt to change, as visits assigned may change due to the type of priorities that they may be assigned to.

Salary: £25,499.00 per annum (pro rata) or £13.04 per hour for our Bank employees

Department: Out of Hours

Location: Various Primary Care 24 Locations, including St Helens, Sefton, Liverpool, Knowsley, Warrington, Halton, Southport and Formby

Shifts: Monday - Sunday, Evenings 6pm 11pm and Overnights 10.45pm 8am
