Job description

We are recruiting for a full time role 37.5 hours per week. The successful candidate must be flexible to cover various shifts which could include days...

  • You will ensure the day-to-day domestic work is carried out effectively by the domestic team andmanage and reorganise the work of team members schedules taking into account unforeseen circumstances i.e., sickness absence.
  • You will also assist and provide a full cleaning service to sterile areas, offices and departments in accordance with work schedules and activity within the area.

Qualifications

Essential

  • NVQ 3 Cleaning or equivalent experience of managing/supervising a team in this work area.

Desirable

  • Level 1 functional skills in English and Maths
  • NVQ L4 or equivalent experience in supervising large staff groups

Skills

Essential

  • Demonstrates ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service and to work without direct supervision
  • Basic IT / keyboard skills

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of working in a team and independently
  • Experience of supervising domestic staff in a hospital /care setting
  • Substantive experience in a domestic role in a facilities department within a health care setting

Knowledge

Essential

  • Demonstrates knowledge of cleaning methods and protocols
  • Demonstrates knowledge of infection control, Health and Safety and COSHH policies
