The role will ensure the emerging trust Transformation Programme is delivered in a way which not only delivers measurable operational and financial improvement, but also supports cultural/behavioural change with staff and wider stakeholder to ensure changes are embedded and sustainable. This role expects very close working relationships with operational leaders alongside finance, workforce, strategy and digital teams.

Alongside leading the Transformation Programme, the role is also responsible for developing the pipeline of opportunities for the Cost Improvement Programme and leading on the productivity programme.

Depending on experience, the role may be expected to lead the identification and delivery of commercial and private patient opportunities that support the Trust's strategic ambitions, financial sustainability and long-term organisational development.

As a member of the senior leadership team, you will contribute to the overall strategic direction of the Trust to deliver its objectives. This role may include participation on the Director On-Call rota.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Master's degree or equivalent level experience in healthcare management, business administration, strategy, organisational development, transformation, leadership or related discipline.

Experience

Essential

  • Proven track record of leading large-scale organisational transformation and change programmes. This needs to include delivering measurable benefits realisation
  • Significant experience of identifying and delivering productivity, efficiency and service improvement opportunities through structured transformation approaches

Skills and Abilities

Essential

  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills including the ability to develop and present compelling business propositions to Executive and Board-level audiences

Knowledge

Essential

  • Strong knowledge of healthcare operational performance, clinical quality, patient safety and financial management

Skills and Abilities

Essential

  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills with the ability to build consensus across organisational boundaries

Leadership Competencies

Essential

  • Ability to create high-performing teams and foster a culture of continuous improvement
  • Credibility to work effectively with Executive Directors, Board members, clinicians and external partners.
